Director of HR Consulting Division - Mr. Vernon Johnson

Mr. Vernon Johnson, S.P.H.R., joined the YHW team in May 2011 and heads the HR Consulting division. Mr. Johnson is a seasoned HR veteran with over thirty-five years of corporate Human Resources management, training and leadership experience. He has held senior executive positions with Verizon Telecommunications, formerly GTE South West and is skilled in establishing/redesigning HR infrastructure, evaluating human performance gaps and organizational needs.

Mr. Johnson has demonstrated expertise in leading the work of individuals and groups in performance and productivity initiatives. Furthermore, Mr. Johnson is experienced in evaluating management programs and processes, hiring and forecasting workforce requirements, personnel utilization, forms design, functions and policies to determine needed modifications or improvements. Additionally, Mr. Johnson is a skilled negotiator and can provide representation for you with regard to any federal or state labor issue.

Mr. Johnson is actively involved in church and civic activities. He volunteers time as a guest high school lecturer on topics such as interviewing skills, employment goals and expectations, and career development.
